The feature the keeps me from using thunderbird (and using kmail) is the ability of a filter to
pipe an e-mail to a specified program. (This allows me to process mailing list bounces to
remove the address from the list. I must process the bounce, as due to address aliases, the
bounced from is not always the address I sent to)

I realize that piping is a desired program feature, but it is not supported in the core Mozilla code at the moment. Enigmail implements their own version of this though that I have considered adapting.
