Hello:

Congratulations for your extension. It's really great. I've just a question: I can't delete any message (by clicking on any archive or bin button), could you tell me why it doesn't work?: I have a Xp PC.

Thanks a lot. Laugh

TweeQuilla does not currently have any delete capability. At some point I need to add the capability to delete your own Tweets globally, as that makes sense because Twitter allows it.

Not sure what to do about the local copy of Tweets. I don't really want to accumulate Tweets in, say, the Timeline folder forever, as that would take up lots of space on the local disk needlessly. I think what I will do is to use the standard retention time capability of Thunderbird, so that Tweets beyond that range are removed from view locally. This feature does not currently work on TweeQuilla.

As to folders, within TweeQuilla there is no current capability to manipulate the viewed folders. What you can do though is to set/clear the "When getting new messages for this account, check this folder" setting. If unchecked, then Thunderbird will not waste time updating this folder unless you click on it.

Since TweeQuilla is meant to be a representation of what is available on your Twitter account, it does not really make sense to "delete" your "My Tweets" folder. Perhaps what would make sense is some method to hide these folders in Thunderbird, as you may not want to see all of this within Thunderbird. But that capability does not exist in, for example, Thunderbird IMAP, so it would not be a priority within TweeQuilla.

Thank you very much for your answer. I'm not a Geek and I'cant help you with any idea, sorry. Any case, your app is very good. I wish you can improve it. I'm sure you'll be able of it.

Thanks again for your time and effort (from Spain).

Is there a way to completely resync the tweets from my account? I had some problems at the first try to install TweeQuilla. I removed the account and the corresponding folders in the file system.

After setting it up again, only newer tweets appear.

Thanks,

Mike

I probably need to implement a rebuild function, like email accounts sometimes have.

was this issue ever resolved? This service would be PERFECT for my Twitter needs, but i'm concerned about gunking up my 'inbox' with twitter posts. Is there still no way to delete tweets?

Are they stored on my computer or are they reading them off of the twitter client?

let me now

FIGURED OUT WHAT TO DO:

Right click on the twitter timeline you want to edit, go to 'Retention Policy' and tell it to save xxxxx amount of posts. should do the job, but it wouldn't hurt to manually be able to delete or archive the tweets, eh?

I would really like to be able to delete local messages. Not being completely in sync with the twitter feed is fine. Deleting mesages fits well for various feeds IMHO, especially for twitter.
